California’s Coachella Festival has today revealed it’s full line-up, which sees Radiohead headlining for a third time, alongside new headliners Beyonce and Kendrick Lamar. The event will run for two weekends at Empire Polo Field in Indio, California from April 14-16 and April 21-23, and this year’s will mark the 18th incarnation of the famous festival.
Kendrick Lamar is of course a native of nearby Compton, and he is in good company in terms of hip-hop with this line-up, being joined by the likes of his Top Dawg Entertainment labelmate Schoolboy Q, as well as Future, Gucci Mane, DJ Khaled, and UK Grime’s very own Stormzy.
Indie icons Radiohead have previously headlined in 2004, and most recently in 2012, and are supported by some elite alternative acts, including Bon Iver, the xx, Lorde, Father John Misty, and Four Tet. The full and detailed line-up can be seen below.
Beyonce herself has only appeared at Coachella sparingly in the past, having joined sister Solange onstage in 2014, and husband Jay-Z during his 2010 headlining slot. Beyonce will be coming off the back of the Grammy awards, where she is heavy favourites for multiple gongs, as well as the continued momentum of last year’s Lemonade.
