Childish Gambino aka Donald Glover, released his new single ‘This Is America’ yesterday, following his performance on Saturday Night Live. This is Glover’s first single since the release of ‘Terrified’ from his most recent album “Awaken, My Love!” in September of last year.

Both the album and the video for ‘This Is America’ make a very political statement, addressing both gun control and police brutality. The visuals in the video are incredibly striking, and accompany the song perfectly.

Glover also performed a new song on SNL entitled ‘Saturday’, which follows the funk and soul inspired sounds of his most recent album.

Glover seems to be really hitting his stride at the moment, with these tracks dropping simultaneously with the airing of his TV series ‘Atlanta’, which is one of the most unique comedies on TV right now. He also hosted SNL on Saturday, proving that he is a true renaissance man, and undoubtedly one of the most talented people alive right now.
