Cher has announced UK tour dates for the first time in almost 14 hours and she will play five shows in Manchester, Birmingham, Glasgow and Leeds. Tickets will be priced from £45 to £150 and will go on sale Friday December 14th at 10am and you can purchase tickets here.
The now 72-year has had a career spanning over the course of five decades which all started with ‘I Got You Babe’ as part of husband/wife duo Sonny and Cher. Cher said: ‘I am very excited to bring this show to the UK. It was the first country to Embrace Sonny and Cher, and its where we created and had out first success with ‘Believe’. It is really my second home.’
The pop icon since the start of her career has won countless awards including Grammy, Emmy and Oscar as well as selling more than 100 million records worldwide. From hit songs from ‘believe’ ‘If I can Turn Back Time’ and ‘I Found Someone’ making her the most successful recording artist of all time. You can listen to her hit song below.
Earlier this year, Cher also appeared in Mamma Mia 2 and released her own cover of ABBA’s ‘Fernando’. She has also released a new album, Dancing queen which is full of covers by the Swedish pop group. On tour we can expect to hear classic hits as well as songs from her new album which was released earlier this year.
Yesterday on the O2’s Official Twitter account Cher teased the tour. On the post there was a sparkle of stars that spelled out Cher’s name to the sound of ‘Do You Believe’. While the tweet read ‘8am 11 December 2019. All shall be revealed.’
Cher will be in the UK from the 20th October until the 30th and will be playing across six venues. The Here We Go Again tour marks her first UK tour dates in more than 14 years, so it is safe to say that fans have been waiting for this for a long time. Pre-sale tickets are available on Ticketmaster from Thursday 13th December at 10am. Whereas, general tickets will go on sale Friday 14th December at 10am and you can purchase them here.
