With the two singer’s legendary status in the alt-pop space, the song’s navigation of relationships between women was a refreshingly real and vulnerable exploration which struck a chord with fans of both artists. The song has achieved one of the highest streams on Spotify from XCX’s collaboration album ‘Brat and it’s completely different but also still brat’ with the song reaching over 130 million listens. After the release of the original ‘brat’ album, the project debuted at number two in UK charts, however the release of her remixed collaboration album pushed it to number one.
