After the success of their co-headlined arenas tour this year, Charli xcx has announced that Troye Sivan will be joining her for a revival of their tour on her slot of the Primavera Sound Festival. The festival will be taking place in June of the upcoming year in Barcelona, Spain, and Porto, Portugal, and Charli xcx is headlining the festival along Sabrina Carpenter and Chappell Roan, dubbed by the artist as a “holy trinity”.
Charli revealed the news on social media, where she wrote: “ok so I know that it’s already be announced that I’m headlining Primavera next summer, but I had this idea…. @troyesivan you wanna?”

Earlier this year, Charli xcx had embarked on a solo tour to celebrate her album “Brat”, which has been making headlines worldwide ever since it was released. The sold out tour, which took the Essex born artist to cities such as Manchester, London, New York City and Minneapolis, counted fourteen stops in Europe and North America. But Charli said that these solo dates were very hard on her mental health, describing them as “really hard emotionally”.
After wrapping up her solo tour, Charli made more stops on a co-headlined tour with Troye Sivan, who was promoting his third studio album “Something to Give Each Other”. Sivan is featured on the extended version of Charli’s “Brat” on the track “Talk Talk”. Charli said that she found the experience of touring alongside Sivan much better than touring solo, stating that it was “a lot easier and less of an emotional battle”. Their co-headlined tour, called “SWEAT”, took the two artists around North America, with a few dates in Canada and many in the United States.
Following the success of “Brat”, one of the most popular albums of the year, acclaimed by both critics and the public, Charli will be going on another arenas tour the upcoming year. She will also be headlining various festivals around the world, including Coachella in California and LIDO Festival in the UK. The tour includes nineteen stops in seven countries, including the UK and Ireland.
June 14, London – LIDO Festival
June 17, Dublin – Malahide Castle and Gardens
June 18, Belfast – Ormeau Park
Earlier this week, Charli xcx joined Billie Eilish on stage to sing their song “Guess” in Los Angeles. Charli’s album is currently charting in the UK’s top ten and it previously peaked at number one, making Charli one of the biggest artists of the year. Her upcoming concert with Troye Sivan has been dubbed “Sweat pt. 2″, and it is unclear whether more dates are to follow.
