The album is set to be released on 27th May. The full released track list is as follows:
‘7’
‘Twice’
‘Soundcheck’
‘Postpone’
‘Anything’
‘Glasgow’
‘Oxygen’
‘Emily’
‘Red’
‘Heathrow’
‘Outside’
So far the only released single is ‘Soundcheck’ which you can listen to below:
It seems to paint the picture that their second album will be more of the same when compared to ‘The Balcony’ which by no means is a criticism; ‘The Balcony’ was hugely successful and helped put Catfish and the Bottlemen onto the music map.
Lead man Vann McCann had this to say on their new album:
“I feel like everybody started thinking too outside the box trying to be arty and different. We wanted to stay inside the box. I feel like the last album was the support band, or even the soundcheck and this one’s the headliner.”
‘The Ride’ will be the first album released by the band with new lead guitarist Johnny Bond, however he has been in the band since 2014 so it’s safe to say that he’ll blend into the music flawlessly.
