The Poison (2005) set up Bullet For My Valentine as the biggest metal band in the world, influencing bands for the next decade and a half. They have come back with Scream Aim Fire (2008) which saw the hit song “Waking The Demon” open up festivals everywhere. A constant fight with their demons on whether their next record will be the dark heavy album that lays waste to the crowd, on albums like Venom and Fever, or arena pleasing crowd chorus’, on recent album Gravity.
Their six studio albums cover a range of emotions and directions, which has been a force for growth in the past. As some of their albums reach their 10-year anniversary, it is brilliant to see a band so fuelled by the passion that made them approach new music this year. Touring alongside huge metal acts like Asking Alexandria, While She Sleeps, and many more. With all this behind them, they are ready for their next step.

Now with the new self-titled album on its way we see them return to their roots with gut blasting singles. The latest track, “Rainbow Veins”, approaches the same level of manic musicality that they have proposed in the past. Having not released an album since 2018, it is possible that lockdown had its influence on the anger behind these tracks. With the news that the album release date pushed back until November 5th, due to COVID-related manufacturing delays, the excitement for this record is growing to new heights thanks to “Rainbow Veins”. Bullet debuted the single “Knives” at Download Pilot this year, followed by “Parasite” and “Shatter”. Bullet For My Valentine prepare people for their heaviest album in years, and possibly ever? Clearly, something is afoot because the video for this song is seriously brutal.
