East London-based singer and rapper Bree Runway has posted a 20-second teaser clip of a new track exclusively on Twitter and her Instagram story today, with the caption “sounds like ice creammmmm”. The video features what appears to be a workshop desk with recording software running on a computer, accompanied by harmonious singing in the background. Both the video and its caption is very cryptic, leaving fans to speculate as to whether this is a teaser of a new single or the intro to a new album.

Bree Runway was nominated for the BBC Sound of 2021 and has collaborated with big names such as Missy Elliott and Brooke Candy so far. She is currently signed to EMI Records and is one of the biggest UK artists rising in the music industry right now.
The 28-year-old singer has recently released a new single called ‘Hot Hot’, which entered the Top 20 R&B/Soul chart on iTunes. There is also an accompanying music video, paying tribute to Busta Rhymes visuals from the 2000s. She released a mixtape last year, ‘2000and4Eva’, which features singles such as ‘Little Nokia’, ‘Damn Daniel’ and ‘ATM’. On Instagram, she posted a photo with the caption, where she let fans know that she is working on an album: “lots of love, horse shit, booze & hugs in the middle of no where writing this album… having the BEST TIME”.
Back in January, the ‘Hot Hot’ singer revealed her vision for her debut album in an interview with Vogue: “I already have a concept for it. I want it to be a true embodiment of everything I am, which is everything. I haven’t really started singing on music yet, but I can sing. That’s the rebel in me being like, just because I have a nice voice doesn’t mean I have to be a singer. But, I’m gonna sing more on the album.”
Further details regarding her new album have not been released yet. Meanwhile, you can watch the music video for ‘Hot Hot’ below.
