Bombay Bicycle has today released their new single, ‘Racing Stripes’. This becomes the third single from their upcoming album, ‘Everything Else Has Gone Wrong’. It follows their preceding two singles, ‘Eat, Sleep, Wake (Nothing But You), released in August, and the self-titled second track from November.
The band first premiered the single ‘Eat, Sleep, Wake, (Nothing But You)’, on BBC Radio 1’s Future Sounds with Annie Mac. They hailed the track for having “one of the best riffs”, that they’d written, and described the “back-to-basics” songwriting process behind its creation.

Jack Steadman revealed insights into the creative process behind ‘Racing Stripes’. He said, “It’s a good example of the emotional rollercoaster you go through,” he explains. “I was like, this is it, I can’t do this any more, and then the next morning you’re like, ah, this is a really good song. The relief!”
Guitarist Jamie MacColl further added, “‘Racing Stripes’ is the first song we’ve done where I feel you could have a lighter in the air and sing along to it.”
