Alternative rock duo Blood Red Shoes shared their new single called “A Little Love“. In contrast to their last release full of electronic dark-pop vibes, this one marks a return to their grunge sound.

Brighton duo consisted of guitarist/vocalist Laura-Mary Carter and drummer/vocalist Steven Ansell explained in a press statement the meaning behind the new song. The band said that “A Little Love” was inspired by a serial killers obsession that their victims are lovestruck with them.
They commented: “Like the rest of the planet, we are hooked on murder podcasts and Netflix docs about serial killers and psychopaths, and love thinking about mindset of the entitled stalker who is convinced a person loves and needs them, when that person doesn’t even know who they are. This is also the second song in our band’s history to feature a can of hairspray as an instrument”.
The new single is Blood Red Shoes’ first release that hasn’t been part of collaboration since 2019 when their album “Get Tragic” came out.
Earlier this year the band collaborated with AA Sessions and Projector on the single “I Just Wanna Lie In Bed And Drink My Wine“. The track is part of the AA Sessions Vol.2 which combines 12 singles released by different members of the AA Sessions group.
The band Blood Red Shoes formed in 2004 and so far they have released five full-length albums: “Box of Secrets” (2008), “Fire Like This”(2010), “In Time to Voices” (2012), “Blood Red Shoes” (2014) and “Get Tragic” (2019) as well as several EPs and a number of singles. In 2014 they have founded their own record label Jazz Life.
