Black Stone cherry have announced a concert at Caerphilly Castle in South Wales in July 2019. Taking place in the grounds of the medieval fornication on Saturday 13thJuly 2019 and is one of the shows planned at Wales’ biggest castle next year. After the release of their sixth album ‘Family Tree’ the American rock band went on tour and played at Download Festival 2018 ahead of Guns N’ Roses. Black Stone Cherry then embarked on their first ever UK arena tour, which will wrap up in Leeds and London at the end of this week. Now that they are nearing the end of their UK winter tour with special guests The Cadillac Three and Monster Truck. Their sixth album ‘Family Tree’, landed number seven on the Official UK Album Chart upon its release back in April 2018.
Going back to 2007 when they came to the UK for the first time, John Young, the bands drummer spoke about their first time on British shores: ‘When we came to the UK for the very first time in 2007 we came across to the UK for the very first time, that was crazy; we were rolling around in a little van, to these little clubs and the promoters didn’t even know if we were meant to be playing. But that’s the point that we started seeing people freak out to the music.’
‘We came back in the summertime to open for Aerosmith in Hyde Park and that was when it started to take off. There’s so many magical memories from the UK; they’ve always been so welcoming to us, and we wouldn’t be able to do what we love if it weren’t for you guys.’
