Black Country, New Road have announced their latest tour which is set to go ahead at the beginning of the new year. The punk band will showcase a number of venues and will finish with their headline show at London’s Electric Ballroom.
The tour will have a few extra dates added which were originally supposed to take place this year. This includes shows at Leeds’ Brudenell Social Club and Brighton’s Chalk, which would’ve happened in April and September of this year but have unfortunately been cancelled due to the current COVID-19 pandemic.
In a Facebook post regarding the announcement of the tour, the band also left an optimistic message for their fans.
Due to the monumental impact of COVID-19, the majority of our planned shows for the remainder of our 2020 live…

Unfortunately, the pandemic has also meant that the seven-member band have had to put their music on hold during the past few months, as they have not been allowed to work together in a studio. Although, they have reassured fans that there should be more news to follow on this shortly.
Black Country, New Road were previously known as Nervous Conditions and made a few changes to the band after their lead singer was accused of sexual assault in 2018. The original singer left the alternative band which allowed Black Country, New Road to come to life.
Since then, the band have released two singles named ‘Athens, France’ and ‘Sunglasses’. The latter is a 9 minute long track, which shares the bands unique talents and sounds. Andy Savours, the producer of the track, spoke about the song in an interview with Loud and Quiet, and says “I was pretty blown away by the ambition and the power of the sound they were making. Often bands with multiple members and unusual line-ups can be sonically messy and confused, particularly early on, but they sounded so focused and compact – like one raging beast. Even though ‘Sunglasses’ is a nine-minute epic there is no waste or excess.” Fans can be sure to hear these songs live again in the new year.
The band’s 2021 tour will begin in January at Brussel’s Rotonode and will eventually reach the UK at Cambridge’s Junction 1 in February. Tickets will be available from Monday 29th June for those signed up to their mailing list and will be on general sale from Thursday 2nd July.
