Billie Eilish recently appeared on SiriusXM’s Alt Nation to perform a cover of The Beatles’ sensational track Something, a song Frank Sinatra once called the “greatest love song written in the last 50 years.” Accompanied by only her brother and musical partner FINNEAS on piano, the eighteen-year-old musician performed a haunting and emotional cover of the song. In the exclusive session Billie also performed acoustic versions of her hit singles Ocean Eyes, Everything I Wanted and her most recent single Therefore I Am.

Eilish picked Something as part of her recent Apple Music show saying; “I remember listening to this song when I was in love, or whatever, and yeah. This song really, once again, got me. I don’t know. I think that it’s such a well-put song. I think the lyrics say something that I barely hear, and I feel like lots of people are saying something similar, but I feel like only The Beatles could say exactly this.”
Billie is notably quite a big Beatles fan, having previously covered Yesterday at the Oscars and a quick rendition of I Will during her Carpool Karaoke episode with James Cordon. “It’s such a thing that we feel, it’s such a human feeling,” she adds. “So this is ‘Something’ by The Beatles. Also, everybody knows that The Beatles were the main, probably, pool of music that we listened to growing up. This is one out of basically all of their songs that I loved and adored growing up, but this one really stuck with me.”
This comes just after the news that Billie Eilish has officially cancelled her When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go world tour last night, explaining that no alternative solutions were available because of the ongoing global health crisis. She was set to play in the O2 and London and the AO in Manchester but unfortunately had to cancel all the shows saying on Instagram; “I wish that I could have seen you on tour this year. I’ve missed performing for you and being on stage so much, I can’t even tell you.”
