Scottish rock band Biffy Clyro have finally shared an update on a tour for the upcoming album ‘A Celebration of Endings’. Though the future is uncertain, the band have jokily named the tour ‘The Fingers Crossed Tour’, a series of intimate gigs taking place throughout April 2021.
After their arena tour was cancelled at the end of July due to coronavirus concerns, Biffy Clyro were unable to provide new dates at this time. While ‘The Fingers Crossed Tour’ will not replace these shows, it should offer a safer alternative for the time being – this will depend on the events of the coming months, and the updated government advice next year.
To gain tickets, fans should get in quickly as there will surely be a high demand. Those who pre-order the new album or register via the official store before midnight on Monday 17th August will be eligible for the pre-sale (beginning Wednesday 19th August), as well as those who have already done so. The general sale will then be available on Friday 21st August.
In further news, Biffy Clyro hinted at more tour dates on Instagram, writing, “There will also be big announcements for Scotland and Europe in the coming days.” Fans are waiting eagerly for more information.
We’ve decided to announce a short run of dates at intimate venues for Apr ’21. Due to the uncertainty of large scale indoor arena shows in the UK, we feel they will give us the best chance to play live to fans asap. Big Scottish announcement soon! Biffy Clyro is made up of members Simon Neil (guitar and lead vocals), James Johnston (bass), and Ben Johnston (drums). The band has released numerous albums, with four reaching the top 5 in the UK Albums Chart and one album, ‘Opposites’, claiming number 1.
