Beyoncé’s album Lemonade is immensely huge since its April release reaching number one on the Billboard 200 and is currently at number two behind Drake’s Views. The release of Lemonade speculated marital rocks between herself and JAY Z as critics closely analysed the lyrics and immediately drew close links.

Mxdwn explored whether it was her strongest album yet upon the release (see our article here). This new potential joint album between the couple could be used to quash those rumours which overshadowed the bubbling release of Lemonade.

On the opening night to Beyoncé’s Formation world tour she was quick to address and inform the audience that their marriage was securely intact:

“I wanna dedicate this song to my beautiful husband”

A source gave a hint as how the couple planned to quash those rumours that fizzed from the album release:

“Jay and Beyonce were never going to do an interview to address all the questions that came up after Lemonade.

“It’s more their style to respond through music.”

So it appears this is how they choose to respond: a new joint album – with lyrics that will portray love, positive marriages, and positive relationships, no doubt.

This is not the first time the couple has collaborated: ‘Crazy in Love’, ‘Hollywood’, and ‘Lift Off’ being a selection of projects they have worked on together.

Beyoncé’s mother – Miss Tina (as she likes to be known) – discussed how the lyrics were more generically about the struggle with relationships rather than specifically and directly about the marriage of Beyoncé and JAY Z. Miss Tina said the lyrics were about being

“betrayed and lied to and it’s about the pain. And it’s about the healing process”.

“It’s about how do you get past that and move on.”

Whatever the truth regarding the lyrics and who (if anyone) they may have been about, the mass hype which would surround such an joint album – on the back of the hugely successful Lemonade – will certainly fog any memory that their marriage was ever in doubt. We will monitor if a physical album comes from this or whether the very rumour itself proves to fans that Beyoncé and JAY Z are indeed a happy couple and have moved on from old news.
