Chart topper John Newman and electronic duo Simian Mobile Disco lead the latest flurry of acts added to the Isle of Wight event. The new additions will join headliners at this years nautical themed bash Sir Elton John, Snoop Dogg and Fatboy Slim.
Earlier this week, the festival organisers revealed that they had been granted a licence to increase the capacity of this years event by 20,000. Robin Hill Country Park can now host up to 79,999 people, however, this is being reserved for the increase in staff and artists, with no further tickets going on sale, crowds are set to remain at 55,000.
Further new additions added to the festival today (July 25) include Pretty Lights, Kitty, Daisy & Lewis, Dub Pistols, Ella Eyre, Skinny Lister, Pete Tong, Mixhell, Kate Boy, Dream Kola, Polio, Zhala, Story Books, Will Joseph Cook and Lovesick.
The UK’s Best Major Festival 2012 & 2010 (UK Festival Awards) will play host to a wide variety of other acts across the weekend including The Flaming Lips, rockers Franz Ferdinand, a UK festival exclusive performance from M.I.A. As well as appearances from Wu-Tang Clan, Chic Featuring Nile Rodgers, Bombay Bicycle Club, James Blake, Johnny Marr, Rudimental, The Strypes, Lissie, The 1975 and Tom Odell.
