Beabadoobee has shared a new collaborative EP with Matty Healy and George Daniel from The 1975, the project’s producers and writers.
London singer-songwriter announced a new released back in March when she shared the first single from the new EP, “Last Day on Earth“. Back then she said about the track that it “is about all the things I would have done had I known we were going into a lockdown and the world was going to change the way it has.”
Beatrice Laus aka Beabadoobee commented on the EP “This EP was made in a really collaborative way during a time where it was really difficult to do that and I feel so lucky to have gotten to make it with my band and Matty and George. I hope it can bring people together in some way, that’s really what these songs are about, that feeling of togetherness that’s been missing a lot in the last year. It feels like a bridge to what’s coming next too“.
To celebrate the release she shared a video to her latest track “Cologne“. “Collaborating with @trumanblack @bedforddanes75 was always a dream of mine and was an inspiring experience I’m so glad it’s out now for everyone to listen AHHHH lots of love to my incredible band, @josephrodgers who engineered and @jon_gilmore for mixing <3” – singer shared on her social media. “Our Extended Play” already received great reviews, with Pitchfork called it: “a conscientious period piece, alighting on late-’90s guitar-pop” and NME added that it “embrace and cherish the little victories as and when they present themselves.
“Our Extended Play” is available on all streaming platforms and the tracklist includes:
1. Last Day On Earth
2. Cologne
3. Animal Noises
4. He Gets Me So High
