Continuing the recent trend of widespread award ceremonies and nominations being announced, it is only right that we cover the BBC Music Award shortlists as well!

The awards ceremony is set to take place in just over a week on the 10th December. We have previously done two separate articles on the BBC Music Awards, which can be found here and here.

Bob Shennan, controller of Radio 2 had this to say on the ceremony:

“What a year it’s been for music. Our shortlists represent the artists who have created some of the biggest and most impactful music moments of the year. I’m looking forward to the big unveiling in Birmingham next week.”

As mentioned on the previous article, this is only the second BBC Music Awards, the inaugral ceremony last year was immensely successful and a great night of music; having considered the live performers this year and the wide range of artists shortlisted, this year similarly promises to be a wonderful night.
