At the Drive-In singer Cedric Bixler-Zavala alluded that one of the band’s recent tracks is directly about the actor Danny Masterson, who faces several accusations of sexual assault, including the alleged rape of the singer’s wife, Chrissy Carnell-Bixler.
My wife is one of Danny Masterson’s rape victims. Of course Danny being the scumbag he is outed her by name a while ago with the help of his ding bat publicist Jenni Weinman. The Church of Scientology has been harassing us since last year when she pressed charges https://t.co/xCwHQzD48e

Masterson- who rose to fame playing Steven Hyde in That ’70s Show, as well as Netflix series is The Ranch- faces rape allegations from four women, with all incidents alleged to have taken place in the early 2000s. Masterson is a longtime member of the Church of Scientology, and the Huffington Post reports that the investigation into the actor- which has been underway since March- has “inexplicably stalled”, despite “overwhelming” evidence against him.
Bixler-Zavala has been vocal on Twitter on the matter for a long time, and the troubling impact of Masterson’s alleged actions has made it’s way into ATDI’s music.
U might wanna go back and re read my “nonsensical” lyrics off our last ATDI record.

The band released In.ter.a.li.a, their first album for 17 years, earlier in 2017, and in an interview with NME, in which Bixler-Zavala discussed the lyrics of the song ‘Incurably Innocent’, revealing that the track was “a song about sexual abuse and being able to finally speak out.” The song features the lyric “Marching to the coffins on Franklin Avenue”, which is the location of the Church of Scientology’s Celebrity Centre in Los Angeles.
