Asking Alexandria unveiled a new track called ‘The Violence’, on July 11. ‘The Violence’ marks the first release by the band since their self titled fifth album back in 2017. The York based metalcore band released a series of teasers last week in the build up to the new track, from Twitter posts to a music video trailer on Youtube.
“We are back bigger, better, louder and more insane than ever before,” said guitarist Ben Bruce, speaking to Kerrang! about the song, adding. “This single encompasses everything we have been working towards. Huge guitars, anthemic drums and some of the catchiest, most technically accomplished vocals that Danny has ever delivered, and this is only just the beginning”
The seven minute feature length music video depicts the Reckless and Relentless rockers caught in the midst of a zombie epidemic, with the song’s title reflecting the cartoonishly violent content of the music video. “The Violence was an incredibly rewarding song to create” says Danny Worsnopp, lead vocalist of the band. “I hope everyone enjoys what we’ve created here, we had a great time making it, and even more fun shooting the video!”
