Ariana Grande has paid tribute to the victims of the Manchester Arena terrorist attack that took place shortly after the singer finished her show on 22nd May 2017.
The singer posted a message on her Instagram stories saying: “Although grief is ever-present and our relationship to it is constantly evolving and expressing itself in different ways every day, year round….. i know that this anniversary will never be an easy one. please know that i am thinking of you today”.

She also posted a heart image made out of bees with names of all the victims and a note: “Manchester, my heart is with you today and always”.

The Internet has been flooded with heartwarming words towards the terrible incident. Stars like Justin Bieber, Katy Perry and Miley Cyrus also joined to honour the victims and raise money.
Andy Burnham, Mayor of Manchester also joined in, writing: “Today we remember the beautiful souls we lost. We think about their families and everyone whose lives changed. And we thank the Greater Manchester public for confronting adversity with great humanity”.
Prime Minister Boris Johnson shared on his Twitter: “Four years on from the tragic attack at the Manchester Arena, my thoughts are with the 22 people who lost their lives, their families, friends and everyone affected”.
On the 22nd of May 2017, suicide bomber Salman Abedi denonated his device in the Manchester Arena foyer and killed 22 people, injuring over 260 others. Later, his brother Hashem Abedi was found guilty in assisting in the attack and sentenced to a minimum 55 years in prison.
