Gone With The Wind has been well received by fans, many of which have followed the band since the 2006 release of their debut album Nightmares. If two new singles and an album release next month weren’t enough, Architects also recently announced an intimate release show in their home town of Brighton – and then added an extra date due to a website fault that caused tickets for the show to be oversold by 269 tickets. Fortunately for any disappointed fans who have missed out, you can catch Architects at Download Festival this summer – see the line up here.
Architects’ UK dates so far can be seen below:
27/05 – Brighton – Concorde
28/05 – Brighton – Concorde
11/06 – Donington Park, Derby – Download Festival: Zippo Encore Stage
However this list of dates is likely to grow exponentially in the coming months; with a new album on the way a UK promo tour is sure to be on the cards for Architects, who are due to tour around Europe this summer.
Speaking via Epitaph Records, vocalist Sam Carter says All Our Gods Have Abandoned Us is the result of the band “leaving everything we had in the studio”. Here’s the full tracklist:
01. Nihilist
02. Deathwish
03. Phantom Fear
04. Downfall
05. Gone With The Wind
06. The Empty Hourglass
07. A Match Made In Heaven
08. Gravity
09. All Love Is Lost
10. From The Wilderness
11. Memento Mori
Whilst speaking about the album, guitarist and keyboardist Tom Searle elaborated:
To me, All Our Gods is about getting to the root of dysfunctions and disillusionment that cause all of this mess, be it personal or political or environmental. It all comes down to the delusion that we need more. We’re all in a constant state of anxiety and jealousy and want and desire. So many of us are unhappy and don’t know what to do with our lives. I think a lot of the record is about digging into that.
This year marks a triumphant return for Architects, and the band look to be on track to reach heights seen upon the release of 2009 album Hollow Crown which propelled them to the forefront of the British metal core scene. If what we’ve heard so far is anything to go by, All Our Gods Have Abandoned Us will be well worth the wait.
