Alesha Dixon released a statement over the weekend stating that she was not planning to release her comeback solo material until next year. The singer explained that her decision to release her music earlier than planned is due to her two daughters.
The singer stated, “My daughters have been a huge inspiration when it comes to me going back into the studio and releasing new music“.
The singer expressed that she wishes for her daughters to view her as an inspirational figure. The singer’s path to fame began in 2000 when she was part of her band Mis-Teeq. The singer continued the band with Sabrina Washington and Su-Elise Nash following the departure of Zena McNally before the group rained success.
The group celebrated two top ten albums and seven top ten singles in the UK Official Charts with memorable songs “Why” (2001), “All I Want” (2001) and “Scandalous” (2003). The singer has released four solo albums to date and her solo songs include “The Boy Does Nothing” (2008) and “Breathe Slow”.
The singer also gained TV fame on Strictly Come Dancing when she won the show in 2007 and then became a judge of the show in 2009. The singer left her judge role on Strictly Come Dancing in 2012.
The singer was then announced as a new judge on the successful prime time show Britain’s Got Talent in 2012. The singer was also a judge on America’s Got Talent: The Champions in 2020 and it was announced in June that the singer is to also be a judge on Australia’s Got Talent. The show has since been cancelled due to Covid 19 and quarantine restrictions.
The singer has also turned her hand to writing children’s books and hosting TV shows and hosted Dance Dance Dance in 2017 and has recently hosted the dance show The Greatest Dancer. The singer has managed to maintain her musical roots as she continues to release music whilst working on TV shows.
The singer had taken a five-year break from music until the release of her single “War” in July. The single singer explained that the single addresses mental health issues.

The singer who views life as being too short when announcing her new plans stated that “I wasn’t planning to release anything until next year, to be honest “. The singer has insisted that she will be in the recording studio for the rest of the year and expressed that she can’t wait to perform on stage again.
