Alanis Morissette unveiled details recently (March 9) of her upcoming UK and Ireland tour. The dates are the rescheduled dates for the 25th-anniversary celebrations of her acclaimed album ‘Jagged Little Pill’. The original tour had to be cancelled due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
The shows were originally intended to take place in autumn of 2020 but were then moved to October 2021 and November 2021 before being cancelled once more. Last October, Morissette wrote on Twitter: “Stay tuned for the rescheduled dates (coming very soon), and please hold onto your tickets as they will be valid for the new ones. I can’t wait to see you each as soon as we possibly can.”
The tour is now set to take place in June with Morissette performing across Glasgow, Dublin, Birmingham, Leeds and Manchester before two huge shows at the O2, London. She will also be supported by the English singer-songwriter Beth Orten known for her unique style of “folktornica” a blend of folk and electronica. The musician shared the news on her social media which you can see below:

The Canadian singer-songwriter has also just released a new song on March 11 called “Olive Branch” via RCA Records UK. It was co-written by Morissette and Michael Farrell, and produced by Michael Farrell and Henrik Jakobsson.
The song is an apologetic and raw piano centric ballad where Morissette reflects on a drama-ridden friendship and apologises for her wrongdoings and offers an “olive branch” to her friend. The “Ironic” singer vocalises these feelings with the words “I’m so sorry, And mea culpa, I’m reaching out to make amends.” Fans may get to hear the latest release on the tour and you can check out the track here:
The tour will follow on from Alanis’ sold out #1 female-fronted tour from 2021, which was also one of the biggest worldwide tours of 2021 selling over 500,000 tickets. You can see the full list of dates below and can purchase tickets for the gigs here.
