We’ve done numerous articles on Adele recently (Find our previous articles on ‘Hello’ here and here) from her teasing world audiences with a 30 second snippet of a song, to her releasing her first single of her upcoming third album; this hasn’t been through my personal love of Adele but rather her highly significant role in the global music industry. I predicted that with the release of her latest single ‘Hello’ she would roar back into the current music scene; and hasn’t she done just that!

Within the first week of release, ‘Hello’ entered the charts at 1st place and has since remained top of the US Singles Chart. But what is truly a great achievement  is that already there have been 1.1 million downloads of the song; the first song to ever get downloaded that much in such a short length of time!

Considering the previous record was Flo Rida’s ‘Right Round’ in 2009 which got 600,000 downloads, she absolutely smashed the record by 500,000 downloads!

However it is not just across the pond that Adele has been successful, she is on course to spend a consecutive week at top of the UK Singles Chart.
