Joining Muse and Coldplay Adele is confirmed as the final headline act of this year’s Glastonbury Festival.
As fans have been whinging about recent announcements of other prestigious festivals regarding the nature or sometimes quality of headline acts, Adele has warned about further complaining stating, as seen on Digital Spy:
“Don’t fucking moan about me headlining!”
As if anyone would! Surely this announcement has a force field enveloped around such complaints. Any such whinging will be isolated to seasoned complainers.
She continues her warning:
“And to the people who say I am too boring to headline, you’re more fucking boring for moaning about me headlining.”
Adele announced this news during her 18/3 concert at the O2 – London.
Adele’s tour continues in the O2 with further dates:
19/3 – O2 – London
21/3 – O2 – London
22/3 – O2 – London
25/3 – SSE – Glasgow
26/3 – SSE – Glasgow
4/4 – O2 – London
5/4 – O2 – London
25, Adele’s latest album has sold more than 19 million worldwide copies and remains steadfast at Number One is the UK album chart.
Already viewed as a legend, Adele was rumoured to headline Glastonbury last year but material wasn’t quite ready for the festival.
Certainly Adele has a future to feature in the famous Sunday ‘Legends’ slot in years to come following other legendary figures like Dolly Parton and Lionel Richie.
So Adele as a legend, I doubt there will be any complaints. Adele is in superb company with Muse and Coldplay who both made their breakthroughs in the mid-late 90s. Glastonbury Festival has always been a complain-free zone anyway.
