Adele has announced that she will perform at American Express presents BST Hyde Park, the London event will take place next Summer.
The British songstress will perform at the festival on 1st July -2 July 2022 at the capitol’s famous park. Adele took to Twitter to announce the news.

The two-day summer event will mark the first time Adele has performed within the UK since 2017. The Grammy-award winning singer last hit the road in 2017 when she embarked on her Adele Live tour. The tour was in support of her third studio album 25 and was also her third concert tour. The series of shows were global, starting in 2016 within the UK and continued into Europe and North America. Unfortunately, when the singer suffered damaged vocal cords two Wembley Arena were cancelled.
BST Hyde Park also took to social media to announce the singer’s live return.
The 33-year-old singer made her triumphant return to the charts this week with her new single “Easy On Me”. The single achieved record-breaking success within sales and streaming and debuted at number one. The new track racked up an impressive 217,300 chart sales within its first week and broke the previous chart sales record. The highest figure was previously held by Ed Sheeran for his single “Shape Of You” which accumulated 226,800 chart sales within its first week.
“Easy On Me” is Adele’s first release in six years and has been taken from singer’s upcoming album as the lead single. The singer’s upcoming fourth studio album 30 is set to be released on 19th November 2021. The news of a new release will always lead to refreshed interest in an artist’s back catalogue. Two of Adele’s previous hits have re-entered the charts this week, “When We Were Young” landed at number 25 and “Someone Like You” re-entered at number 34.
Adele’s new track marks her third number one single. Her first number one single, “Someone Like You” was released on 24 January 2011 and spent five weeks at the top spot. The single sired many accolades including the 2012 Grammy award for Best Pop Solo Performance. The singer’s second number one, “Hello”, was released on 23rd October 2015 and enjoyed the most profitable opening week for sales in three years. The accompanied music video was directed by Canadian filmmaker Xavier Dolan who also directed the video for “Easy On Me”.
It was announced earlier in the year that Sir Elton John would also be performing at the festival. The legendary artist will take the stage on Friday 24th June 2022, the performance will be part of the pianist’s Farewell Yellow Brick Road the Final tour. The singer will be joined by special guests who have yet to be confirmed. Also announced within the festival’s line up include two more highly influential bands. Grunge legends Pearl Jam will also perform two shows on Friday 8th July and Saturday 9th July 2022, the group will be joined by fellow 90’s icons Pixies in their Friday performance. 80’s hitmakers Duran Duran will perform at the festival on Sunday 10th July 2022 with special guests Nile Rodgers, CHIC and more guests to be confirmed.
