Abdi TV has announced his new interview platform titled ‘Background check’. The tastemaker and music manager took to his Instagram to share a snippet of his new interview show which will feature Digga D as its first guest.
Abdi TV is one of the young and exciting minds in the UK rap and hip hop scene helping it grow and find its place at the top of the British music scene. Alongside his business partner Antz ‘ImJustbait’ he launched his label BLK in 2018 and acts as home to artists, 24wavey, Jorday, Rocco, Phoenix Laoutaris and Niko B, whose 2020 hits ‘Whos that whats that’ went Brit certified silver earlier this year.
Abdi TV has always kept one finger on the pulse of the UK rap scene and his new show looks to take this even further, the show will feature artist being asked questions that will hope to give the fans a better understanding of their favourite artists.
The first guest appearing on the show is Digga D who this year released his sophomore album ‘Made in the pyrex’ charting at number three as well as this his documentary ‘Defending Digga D’, which documented the rappers life following his release from prison in May 2020, won a bafta for the category emerging talent: Factual.
The Instagram page is only two days old but already sits on over 890 followers with the first episode with Digga D not set to release until the 18th of June on the Background check channel which will go live next Friday.
