Hi, I’mLewis and I'm a music journalist here at MXDWN UK. I cover everything from tour announcements to news involving legendary artists like The Beatles, Rod Stewart, and The Smiths. Music has always been a huge part of my life, and I love nothing more than researching the stories behind the songs and sharing those discoveries with readers. The 60s and 70s are a particular passion of mine—it’s exciting to revisit those classic albums and watch old interviews from a very different world. I studied journalism at the University of Chester, where I worked on everything from local politics to arts coverage, even interviewing MPs and creative leads for the city’s events. After graduating in 2022, I interned at Penguin Random House in publicity and marketing, which was a fantastic experience given my love of books and storytelling. Alongside my work at MXDWN, I run Revolution 10, a project where I write features, craft Twitter threads, and create content for TikTok. I pride myself on thorough research and always aim to bring unexpected angles to my work, whether I’m writing about a mural of Andy Rourke or announcing a tour date for Iggy Pop. For me, the joy of journalism is diving into a subject, learning something new, and then making it accessible and engaging for others.
