The Chemical Brothers have been announced as Saturday’s headliner at Creamfields. The legendary British duo will top the Horizon stage in Cheshire, joining the already announced Swedish House Mafia and Deadmau5. The band are currently preparing for the release of their ninth album ‘No Geography’ and with a reputation for incredible audio and visual displays Creamfields fans are set to be in for treat. The festival takes place over the August bank holiday from the 22nd to the 25th of August.

Tweeting about the festival the band spoke of the importance of Creamfields to the themselves and dance music, and how they can’t wait to return to “make more beautiful memories”. Currently on their ninth album The Chemical Brothers are one of the most important artists in British dance music and have won 4 GRAMMY awards. The band made their name as a big-beat icon in the 1990s with massive hits including ‘Block Rockin’ Beats’, 1997, and ‘Hey Girl, Hey Boy’, 1999. The band have established a reputation for legendary live shows and this week were also announced to be headlining Corona Capital Guadalajara in Mexico with Tame Impala.

The Chemical Brothers returned in 2018 with their first music in three years, the anthemic ‘Free Yourself’ complete with a robotic themed press released and music video. The single being the first track heard from their new album ‘No Geography’ which is set to be released in Spring 2019, and will consist of 10 tracks. It’s yet to be seen if this visual style will transfer itself to their live shows.
The Manchester based band are expected to the the festival’s last headliner, and join an incredible lineup featuring Canadian DJ Deadmua5 , Adam Beyer , Cirez D and in a UK festival exclusive, the return of dance icons Swedish House Mafia. The line up has got fans around the world excited with EDM.com stating the festival is “is pulling out all the stops for their 2019 edition”. A full line up is expected to be released later in the year, with day and weekend tickets currently on sale.
