Heavy metal supergroup, Cavalera Conspiracy have released a new lyric video for the re-recorded version of their track ‘Necromancer’, with the design created by Costin Chioreanu.
The Cavalera Conspiracy was formed in Phoenix, Arizona in 2007 and was founded by the two Cavalera brothers, Max and Iggor who originate from Brazil.
Speaking of the new EP with Mxdwn, Max Cavalera, who is the vocalist and rhythmic guitarist for the band, states, “‘Necromancer’ stands out…the new version and video bring to life the magic that started 40 years ago. I consider it my first ‘big’ song!” He also commented on the re-recordings “As we get harder year after year, sometimes you’ve got to go back to where it all started! We re-recorded Bestial Devastation and Morbid Visions with the amazing sound of NOW but with its raw and timeless spirit. The artwork reflects the times we’re living in right now…. Apocalyptic as hell! We also have two new tracks with riffs from those days, remembered by heart.”
Drummer and percussionist, Igor Cavalera spoke to Mxdwn about how the song is very special and how the video adds a new vibe “It is such a powerful force of riffs, beats, and screams. The video has a super cool vibe, dark and creepy.”
The track “Necromancer” is from the “Bestial Devastation” EP released by Sepultura, an earlier formed band by the metal brothers duo. The EP was released in 1985 through Cogumelo Records. Calavera decided to release re-recorded versions of “Morbid Visions” and “Bestial Deviation” earlier this year, in June and they were recorded at The Platinum Underground.
