Tracy Leanne Jefford, 36, was a contestant on ‘The X Factor’ in 2017, where she was mentored by Nicole Scherzinger. Although Jefford may not have won the competition, she most definitely won a majority of hearts and is now on her journey to change the music scene.
Despite not securing her place as an X Factor finalist, Tracy Leanne has continued to write and record her own music. She has even gone as far as releasing a few tracks, such as, ‘Wish I Didn’t Love You’ and her most recent track, which has sparked up some controversy, titled ‘Raise Your Hands.’
Since coming off the show, Tracy Leanne has been nothing but driven by determination. Her music aims to reassert the female role within both the music industry, as well as, society in general. As a single mother of three, she is also haunted by a troubled past, which involves her ex-husband being on a manhunt for 5 months. She is paving the way for women by showing them that it does not matter where you came from, but where you want to be. Her single ‘Raise Your Hands’ advocates feminism and encourages women to find the voice of power they all have within. Even throughout her social media, it is clear to see that Tracy Leanne is a feminist and proud.

Thanks to her success despite not winning the competition, she has created a legacy for female artists to follow, in particular, those who were told no by not only men but also by those in positions of ‘power’. The singer in a recent interview with CelebMix said: “I have a single ‘In The Rain’ coming out November/December.” The single will include a music video. More of the artist’s music can be found on iTunes and Spotify.
