Selkirk quintet Frightened Rabbit have announced details of their new EP, titled The Woodpile EP, which is due to be released on September 2nd via Atlantic Records. The EP will feature three brand new tracks, and will follow the band’s highly rated 4th studio album Pedestrian Verse, which came out earlier this year.
Frightened Rabbit are set to headline a number of UK shows in November, as well as performing at festivals this summer.
Singer Scott Hutchinson said ‘ ‘The Woodpile is about that night you felt utterly out of place, alone, awkward and cornered. All any of us want in those instances is for someone we care about to come and take us away from it all. It’s escapist, but also claustrophobic in places. I like the idea of contrasting a big, confident piece of music with lyrics that express uncertainty and vulnerability. ‘
