American punk rock band Bad Religion have added two new dates to their European tour to support their most recent release, True North.
Their UK dates are as follows:
Aug 19: The Ritz, Manchester
Aug 20: KOKO, London
Released in January, True North has been hailed as Bad Religion’s best release in the last 10 years. The band worked on new material after their 2011 tour to support their 2010 album The Dissent of Man. Lead singer Greg Graffin hinted at a breakup although later this turned out to be not the case.
In May, bassist and co-founder Jay Bentley issued a statement on the band’s official website about their guitarist Greg Hetson.
““Greg Hetson is dealing with some personal issues, if he wishes to make a statement we will support that, if he chooses not to we will support that. Mike Dimkich is indeed helping us out right now, and we are genuinely appreciative. Right now we are just looking forward and getting ready to play our shows.”
Dimkich, rhythm guitarist for The Cult, will be covering for Hetson for the remainder of the tour.
