Summer is almost over, and only a couple of festivals remain on this year’s calendar in Britain, but they’re definitely big ones.

Ahead of another massive weekend, weather forecasts and set times have been released for Reading & Leeds Festival, as hundreds of thousands of music fans prepare to descend on either the Berkshire or Yorkshire countryside for their respective events.

This years festival sees headline sets from Muse, Kasabian, and Eminem. Fans will be anxious to know the conditions in which they will be seeing their favourite artists, however, as the weather in England means that no one is ever safe- especially at an August music festival.

Reading Weather Forecast

Thursday August 24th: A cloudy and mild day, remaining dry in the evening as temperatures peak at 20°C

Friday August 25th: A sunny start before mild cloud sets in, but will stay dry into the night as temperatures reach 21°C.

Saturday August 26th: Cloudy but dry and warm, as temperatures reach 22°C.

Sunday August 27th: Sunny and warm, with temperatures hitting a high of 23°C.

Leeds Weather Forecast

Thursday August 24: Sunny throughout the day with skies remaining clear into the evening, as temperatures reach 19°C.

Friday August 25: Cloudy but mild with temperatures reaching a high of 19°C.

Saturday August 26: Cloudy but mild once again, with a highest temperature of 19°C.

Sunday August 27: Ending on another dry and mild day, with temperatures reaching 20°C.

Bizarrely, it looks as though both venues might just remain dry for this weekend, which has to be some sort of historical anomaly. As usual, Reading gets the best of it- weather, surprise acts, TV coverage, you name it- but even Leeds-goers will be grateful that their wellies won’t be as essential as usual this weekend.
