Pitchfork Music Festival London has unveiled the second wave of artists who will be performing at the event. Ezra Collective, Balming Tiger, Chai, Ichiko Aoba, Kara Jackson, Vagabon, Rachika Nayar, Anjimile, George Riley, Snõõper, and Godcaster will all be joining the already packed list bursting with talent.
Taking to Instagram, Pitchfork announced on the 31st May that British jazz quintet Ezra Collective will be opening the festival at the iconic Albert Hall on the 7th November. Listen to their track with Loyle Carter “What Am I to Do?” below:
In addition, Japanese Ichiko Aboba and Cameroonian-American multi-instrumentalist Vagabon will now be supporting Weyes Blood for the closing show on the 13th November at the Eventim Apollo.
Japanese pop band CHAI will also be performing at the renovated warehouse club Village Underground on the 10th November. American poet and singer-songwriter Kara Jackson will be performing at Kings Place the following evening. Watch the video for CHAI’s song “Donuts Mind If I Do” below:
This year’s event will be run from the 7th – 13th November in various venues across the city including The Barbican, EartH, Hackney Church, KOKO, and The Roundhouse. In April, Pitchfork announced the first wave of artists performing at the festival including Crumb, Ryoji Ikeda, Porridge Radio, Sorry, Wednesday, MAVI & MIKE, Sleater-Kinney, U.S. Girls, Yaeji, yuné pinku, Youth Wagoon, and a headlining set from Weyes Blood closing the festival.

As well as in London, Pitchfork Music Festival will be hosted in Berlin and Paris this year. The Berlin edition of the festival will be held from the 1st – 5th November and take place in venues such as Zenner, Betonhalle at silent green, Kulturquartier, Astra Kulturhaus, and Festsaal Kreuzberg. The line-up includes sets from CHAI, Dudu Tassa and Jonny Greenwood, MAVI, MIKE, yunè pinku, Porridge Radio, and Annahstasia. For the complete line-up see the poster below.
Pitchfork Music Festival will then take place in Paris a day after the Berlin festival comes to a close and run from the 6th – 12th November. Held in venues such as Trabendo, Eglise Saint-Eustache, La Place, Petit Bain, the line-up will include Crumb, Dream Wife, Ichiko Aboba, Kara Jackson, Weyes Blood, and Youth Lagoon. This is the third year the Pitchfork Music Festival has been held in London. In previous years George Clanton, Injury Reserve, Faye Webster, Animal Collective, Courtney Barnett, Cate Le Bon, Stereolab, Black Midi, and Metronomy have played to audiences around London courtesy of the festival.
