The Bradford bassline collective Bad Boy Chiller Crew are continuing to go from strength to strength. In what seems like a one-way rocket trip to an explosive UK rave resurgence, the Yorkshire boys are now making moves with MC Majestic on their latest track; “Skank All Night (You Wot, You Wot)” which had previously been previewed during a few of the group’s spring tour shows. Along with a typically raucous video that sees the lads bring the party to a local bingo hall. We find ourselves with another high-octane bop that arrives just in time for the summer.
The song features a hefty revamping of a classic 90s bassline sound, a seriously shoutable hook that proclaims; “All the girls to the left (You what? You what?) All the boys to the right (You what? You what?) Front to the back (You what? You what?) Skank out all night (You what? You what?)”.
We encounter verses from the crew’s usual suspects, with a nonchalant verse from none other than MC Majestic to seal the deal. The accompanying video takes place; “in a county-lines working-men’s club (directed by LG Vision)” where the band “take over the stage mid-bingo and cause havoc amongst the unsuspecting local residents. Gloriously tongue-in-cheek and comedic as ever, the band drill through verses with Majestic, DJ Q and their masked production-brethren DJ Tactics in tow.”

In a recent review for the BBCC’s show in Leeds back in April, the carnage was described as; “Bucket hats, bum bags, bassline: the golden trifecta of a night spent in the presence of Bad Boy Chiller Crew. As a gaggle of teens slyly swig WKD outside Leeds’s O2 Academy, it’s clear there is just one agenda for the evening: a long overdue mash-up. Buckle in, everybody.… There’s never a dull moment with the Crew, or their freewheelin’ fans…the feral atmosphere that has just unfolded feels akin to a fever dream. Yes, these shenanigans are really happening, and it’s such bloody fun.”
