It seems every other week the old Oasis frontman is in the news. Whether it’s his recent single “C’mon You Know“, or him apologising for recent comments made concerning Madrid football players, you can’t say Liam Gallagher doesn’t keep things interesting. Fans looking forward to the release of his third studio album on May 27th (titled C’MON YOU KNOW) have his newly announced show in Blackburn next week to keep them going until the release.
The show will be supporting his latest collaboration with Adidas, the German clothing and accessories company. Gallagher’s going to be helping them launch their new LG2SPZL trainers. He’s previously worked with the company back in 2019 when his second LP Why Me? Why Not was celebrated by the release of the company’s new Spezial Shoes.
Gallagher has said in a statement that “I’m glad to announce my new collaboration with adidas Spezial. It’s our take on the one and only Barrington Smash and it’s absolutely incredible.“
The Blackburn concert will take place on April 27th in The King George’s Hall. To get tickets, you’ll have to download the Adidas CONFIRMED app and go through a special raffle they’ve arranged. You have until midnight on Friday to sign up if interested, with the winners being notified on Saturday.
Gallagher said of the upcoming performance that “And if that’s not enough to blow your wig off, I’m going to be playing The King George’s Hall in Blackburn, Lancashire. All proceeds from the gig will be in aid of Nightsafe, a local homeless charity.”
In other news, Gallagher recently toyed with the idea of releasing an album of only love songs, saying “During the pandemic …. Everyone was going through these mad things and I thought if we do get a chance to do a record maybe everyone will be coming back with these rocking records and saying how much they hate the Government and all this nonsense.”
“And so I thought that maybe we would come at it from a different angle, maybe we’ll do an album full of love songs …. I reckon there’s half a record left which is a more chilled record.”
