The evergreen Rolling Stone Mick Jagger has announced a new track titled; “Strange Game”, which is set to arrive later this week. It will accompany a closely awaited new Apple Original TV series by the name of Slow Horses, acting as the “moody” theme tune for the serial drama.
The forthcoming song will be debuted with the release of the first two episodes which will be available to stream on Friday, 1st April 2022. With Jagger having worked closely with the Academy Award- nominated film composer Daniel Pemberton. Whose talents have been on display in such films as Trial of the Chicago 7, Steve Jobs and The Man from U.N.C.L.E. The singer was eager to announce this new collaboration in a tweet, calling the endeavour; “a fun project”.

Pemberton went on to say; “Working with Mick Jagger has been one of the most exciting collaborations of my professional career. I think we have managed to create an incredibly unique and original title’s theme and I cannot wait for the rest of the world to hear it.”
James Hawes (the series director) added; “We always wanted a song to set the tone for the show and there was only ever one name in my mind – Mick Jagger. Hearing the track for the first time was utterly thrilling. Mick’s lyrics and performance have totally nailed the mood of Slow Horses, with all the humour and swagger I dreamed of.”
The new series (whose leading role is comfortably occupied by none other than Gary Oldman) is based on the critically acclaimed “Slough House” collection by the British author Mick Herron. Whose first instalment arrived on shelves in 2017. The synopsis for the new show hints at what is in store; “This quick-witted spy drama follows a dysfunctional team of MI5 agents- and their obnoxious boss, the notorious Jackson Lamb- as they navigate the espionage world’s smoke and mirrors to defend England from sinister forces”.
With more exceptional British talent set to star in the promising new six-part series, such as Kristen Scott Thomas, Jack Lowden, Jonathan Pryce, and Olivia Cook, this is television few will want to miss. Check out the trailer down below.
