British pop duo Rosa Walton and Jenny Hollingworth of Let’s Eat Grandma have announced a 2022 UK tour with the added sweetener of a dreamy new single and video titled; “Levitation”. Check out the video down below:
“Levitation” is the last single to be taken from their third album Two Ribbons which is due to be released on April 29th 2022, having been pushed back due to delays of the Vinyl pressings. The song is an infectious tune that pops and bubbles with their typical joyous energy. A youthful and inventive call-back to the likes of Kate Bush and Pink Industry, with bright synth melodies and beautifully rendered vocal tones.
A member of the Norwich born band Rosa Walton delved into the inspiration for the track, saying; “It’s about feeling all over the place, escaping to your imagination and being in a disorientating and surreal mental state, which can be both scary and elevating somehow – everything feels more creative and things look brighter. You’re with someone you’re close to, trying to reach out and connect to them, and even though you’re both struggling, you’re able to find comfort in one another, and have an absurdly funny yet meaningful time together. You begin to see some hope in your future again after a time when you’d started to lose sight of that.”
Two Ribbons follows 2016’s I, Gemini and 2018’s I’m All Ears. Having racked up a devoted listenership and critical acclaim with featured hits such as; “Hot Pink”, “Donnie Darko”, “Falling Into Me” and “Hall of Mirrors”.
Hard Copies of Two Ribbons, as well as related merch, are available for pre-order here. The digital album can be purchased here.
