Abra Cadabra has released his annual valentine’s track, entitled “Double Double”. The north London rapper took to his Instagram to share the new track with fans.
The 23-year-old rapper, whose flow and sound comes from his uniquely deep voice, has been dropping Valentine’s tracks since 2017 when he dropped “Valentine” alongside regular collaborator Kush, with the track currently sitting on 3.5 million views on YouTube and 9.5 million Spotify streams, the rapper went on to drop “Fuck Valentines” in 2018 following his success in 2017 with “Valentine”.” Fuck Valentine” had the same reception, as the track dropped a year prior and set off Abra’s annual Valentine’s track or project. The rapper went completely off the map in 2019, taking a hiatus from the music scene. In 2020 and 2021, the rapper made up for his absence in 2019 with two Valentine’s projects. The first to be released was entitled LOL: Love or Lust, a five track E.P. Abra gained a combined 13 million streams on Spotify, and was matched next year with another project; a four track E.P. with the title Mixed Emotions, which saw the rapper return to his Valentine artwork, similar to the 2017 and 2018 releases. The Mixed Emotions EP lead single “Mixed Emotions” was released on Valentine’s day and gained 7 million youtube views on Abra’s own channel, as well as 22 million streams on Spotify.
Abra’s new single has only been out for 3 days but already sits on over 100 thousand streams on Spotify and YouTube views. Abra’s deep voice and relaxed flow make his valentines tracks instant hits with his voice sitting on the melodic beats effortlessly.
“Double Double” is the OFB rapper’s first release of 2022, with it having been 2 years since the rapper’s last project. Fans of the multi-genre artists will be anticipating a release from Abra Cadabra this year as he continues to grow strength to strength with each release.
