Legendary Los Angeles rockers Eagles have announced a new support act for their upcoming European Tour, which will include British Summer Time in Hyde Park, London. The tour-which will mark Eagles celebrating fifty years as a band-will also feature stadium shows in Dublin, Liverpool, Edinburgh and the Netherlands.
It has already been announced in weeks prior that the band will be joined on the road by bluegrass-country singer Alison Krauss, and Led Zeppelin’s Robert Plant. As of today, it has been announced that Little Big Town, an Alabama based country band, will also be accompanying Eagles on their upcoming tour. The group shared a very enthusiastic tweet earlier today to confirm their participation in the tour.

Little Big Town are no stranger to touring and commercial success, having formed in 1998 and finding great critical acclaim in the early 2010s, with the song “Pontoon” from their fifth album Tornado winning a Grammy award for Best Country Duo/Group Performance. The album has also gone on to achieve a gold certification. The group are still very consistent and prolific with their musical output, having released their ninth full-length album Nightfall last year. The album has received favourable reviews, with some critics likening the group’s sound to that of Fleetwood Mac. The album, along with the rest of their musical catalogue, is available on all streaming services, and physical media can be found here.
For many, Eagles need little introduction. With a career spanning fifty years, six number one albums, five number-one singles and six Grammy Awards, the band have had quite an illustrious career, to say the very least. Eagles are perhaps best known for the rock classic “Hotel California” released in 1977, a Grammy award-winning song adored by millions, and boasts what many regards to be one of the greatest guitar solos of all time.
Prior to the COVID-19 pandemic, Eagles intended to play in the UK during the Summer of this year with two dates at Wembley Stadium, as a part of their Hotel California tour.
