KO release his new single “Fine Line (Intro)” and announced his new mixtape Fine Line set to drop on the 26th of November.
The new singles showcase the Homertons rapper’s elite rapping ability and highlight why many look to him for having the best wordplay in the UK drill scene. The track sees KO at a number of shows which he performed while supporting Potter Payper on his most recent tour, the track is the intro for KOs upcoming project and suggest that the rapper will look at how his life has changed and try to juggle the streets and music, With the last bar being “On the ride with bros and a wap or mic and rap, I’m walking a fine line”
The change from the streets to being a music artist is a topic many artists talks about, UK stars such as J Hus and Headie One are two artists who have shown how hard it is to try and balance the two with both of the artists spending months in jail after being caught with knives while at the peak of their careers. The news of rappers involvement in the streets is one that always shocks fans as the genre of drill begins to grow wider than the audience of those who understand the lives that these rappers are living and the implication it can have, while many fans believe it is as easy as picking up and microphone to get them out of the streets and away from any problems they are involved in.
KO’s elite lyricism makes him one of the best storytellers not only in UK drill but in Uk rap as a whole. His ability to paint a picture with his words is understood not only by fans but by the artists himself with his last project being titled Drilliam Shakespeare.
His newest release comes nearly a month and a half after his last solo release “Car Door” and just 3 weeks after he appeared on Potter Paypers top 10 mixtape Thanks for Waiting which charted at number 8. KO appeared on track 3 “Rappers Lie” and veered away from his normal style using a more melodic flow on the track which currently sits on just under 400,000 Spotify streams without any official video.
