Places and Faces announce the phase 1 lineup for their Lisbon Weekender set to take place in May 2022. The fashion brand took to their Instagram to share the news with their 357 thousand followers.
The fashion brand has had a place in UK British street culture for nearly 10 years having been founded in 2013. The brand uses its name and reach to hold many events celebrating UK music and the UK street culture holding a number of parties around the capital as well as casting in a number of different UK artists to model their clothes and feature in their magazine, with their last cover featuring UK drill sensation Headie One.
The Lisbon weekender is set to take place between the 13th and 16th of May and has already had 9 artists confirmed for their phase 1 announcement. The artist already announced are Norhtamptons Slowthai, the king of UK alternative scene Lancey Foux, Coventry star Pa Salieu, East Londoner Unknown T, UK female rap star Ivordian Doll, UK hip hop artist Kasien, Native Soundsystem, Nigerian rapper Deto Black and Nigerian Alte pioneer Teezee.
Prior to releasing the lineup for their weekender, the brand announced a huge collaboration between themselves and one of the biggest brands in tech, Xbox. Places and faces released jumpers, t-shirts, bags and controllers all featuring the Xbox logo blended into the classic Places and faces print.
Places and Faces released the phase 1 lineup with the promise that there was “Many more tba”. The brands connections and pull within not only the Uk music scene but internationally having strong roots in West Africa, makes it almost impossible to guess what artists the brand could bring through.
Slowthai looks to be the first headliner to be announced, the rapper from Northampton has been quiet in releasing music with his last release coming in the form of his chart-topping album Tyron which was released in February 2021. His performance at the Lisbon Weekender will come just after the conclusion of his UK and Ireland Hell is home tour which he will be joined on by Deb Never and will run throughout March kicking off on the 13th in Dublin.
Places + Faces Lisbon Weekender will take place between the 13th-16th of May in Lisbon and while tickets have not yet been released for purchase you can sign up for updates on ticket information here.
