Today the Red Hot Chili Peppers have released their second single from their upcoming new album ‘The Getaway’. This eponymously titled single follows on from the first single from the album ‘Dark Necessities’.

Red Hot Chili Peppers’ 11th studio album ‘The Getaway’ is set to be released next month on June 17th. It would seem that from their two singles released already that we can expect more of the same from the LA born band; funk based rock which Red Hot Chili Peppers have made their own in the past three decades. ‘The Getaway’ also features Danger Mouse as producer, so it’ll certainly be interesting to see his influence on the release, especially as their work with Rick Rubin is so distinctive.

The new album release is part of what will be big summer for the band, as they are also set to headline a few festivals; including the UK based Reading & Leeds.
