As the date of release for Catfish and the Bottlemen’s eagerly anticipated second album gets ever closer (May 27th) Catfish have today released what I imagine will be their last single from the album: ‘Twice’.
‘Twice’ is currently available for stream through the standard sites; Spotify and Apple Music.
‘Twice’ is the fourth (!) single released by Catfish and the Bottlemen from their new album ‘The Ride’. The other three songs (Soundcheck, 7 and Glasgow) have all been met with positive reviews and growing excitement regarding their second album.
Listen to ‘7’ below:
‘7’ seems to be their token acousticy/emotional song, similar to ‘Hourglass’ from their debut album ‘The Balcony’. However other singles released so far ‘Soundcheck’, ‘Glasgow’ and ‘Twice’ seem to follow in a similar ilk to the rest of the hard rock enthused album.
Here at Mxdwn.uk we have covered Catfish and the Bottlemen quite a lot recently and whilst that is partly due to the fact they’re one of my favourite bands, it is also because of their ever growing reputation in music. Their debut album released in 2013 ‘The Balcony’ was very well received commercially and has managed to propel themselves into the forefront of UK indie music.
