English pop group McFly have today announced a series of gigs throughout the UK wherein they will play their albums in full. It will be the first time the band has performed together as McFly since 2013 (however they have since briefly merged with Busted to form McBusted).
Co-lead vocalist Tom Fletcher took to twitter to announce the details:
We are playing all 5 of our studio albums in their entirety. Every song. Every album. With a few little extras of course #McFlyAnthology

The dates and locations of the tour are as follows:
16-18/6 – 02 Academy, Glasgow
20-22/6 – 02 Academy, Birmingham
24-26/6 – Academy, Manchester
28-30/6 – 02 Forum, London
McFly were part of a music movement in the early 2000s, with pop rock emerging as a very mainstream sound. They first rose to prominence in 2004 when fellow pop rock band Busted invited them to tour with them. However despite having a reputation for being very ‘poppy’ and perhaps not having the greatest music in the world; McFly have still enjoyed relative success, with the band winning a Brit Award in 2005, having sold 10 million records and also being the youngest band ever to have an album debut at number one.
The five studio albums that McFly are set to perform during this tour are: Room on the 3rd Floor (2004), Wonderland (2005), Motion in the Ocean (2006), Radio:Actice (2008) and their last studio album Above the Noise (2010).
It’s been six years since we’ve had any new material from the band but apparently McFly do have a lot of material yet to be released, so who knows, maybe this tour is part of a move back into music for the band! Either way, I know my 11 year old self is keen to hear some new stuff!
