Pale Waves have revealed that they’ve begun work on their third studio album. In a new post on lead singer Heather Baron-Gracie Instagram on September 15, the vocalist shared a photo of herself and drummer/producer Ciara Doran in the studio, with just the caption: “Album 3.” The artist can be seen on her phone next to her drummer Doran sitting on a sofa in their studio.
Whilst this doesn’t reveal much about the possible content of the album or when it will be released if it is anything like their last release fans have something great to look forward to. Pale Waves earlier release of their second album, Who Am I?, which dropped via Dirty Hit in February of this year received much acclaim.
Reviewing Who Am I? upon its release earlier, MXDWN wrote “Baron-Gracie’s personal journey is one that taught her many valuable lessons that she has been able to transform into art and share with the world. Those who face similar struggles to hers can find peace and acceptance in Who am I?, as well as a voice that tells them that they are not alone.”
It was also well received over on NME when they wrote “The band capture their optimism of a new life worth living, but never shy away laying bare the challenges of doing so in times like these. Just getting through the day or to the finish line is enough for most of us these days; Pale Waves ought to be proud of what they’ve achieved.”
The band are still yet to tour the second album due to previous COVID restrictions and are set to embark around the UK next year, with the dates beginning in February which you can see below.
