2011’s self-titled album was a huge one for James Blake, after a series of incredibly successful EP’s that saw him climb to the top of the UK music scene so early on in his career. The Grammy-nominated artist has been seen to work with Slowthai, Travis Scott, and Bon Ivor- to name just a few. Through this, he has shown his strength as a multi-instrumentalist. Now with four albums behind him and a huge following of supportive fans, he is back stronger than ever.
Blake is back with a new album on the way. With singles “Say What You Will” and “Life Is Not The Same”, he gives us exactly what we have missed since 2019’s Assume Form. With a third single now released, “Famous Last Words” gives us more reasons to be excited about the upcoming album Friends That Break Your Heart. Met with nothing but love, the new song slides its way into his back catalogue nicely. Fitting into his expressive ‘i need a hug’ genre of music. Which works perfectly against the album cover designed by Miles Johnston.
