As I’m sure you all know now, the headliners for this summers Glastonbury are Coldplay, Muse and Adele and whilst Muse and Coldplay have both headlined the festival plenty of times before (this will be Coldplay’s 4th time and Muse’s 3rd) this will be the first time for Adele, who has performed at Glastonbury before but hasn’t ever headlined.

With Adele closing the festival on the third night and Muse playing the evening before her they have offered her the chance to ease her nerves about performing and to come and perform a song with them during their act.

Speaking to BBC Radio 1’s Breakfast show, Muse lead singer Matt Bellamy had this to say:

“The best thing for her to do would be to come the night before, watch us and come on and sing a song with us,” he told host Nick Grimshaw. “That will take the pressure off, that will be a no pressure moment.”

“A lot of people, if they are nervous, they will just lock themselves away and then the first time they see it (the stage) is when they go on and you can really brick it.”

Now how Adele will react to this it’s unsure, as whilst it’s a great offer from such a household name, I guess there is potential for it to come across as a bit patronising; after all this is Adele we’re talking about, arguably the most successful artist of the 21st century (so far!) in regards to sales and the pulling power of her concerts.
